The blog is back (part 2)

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

After a difficult bout with domain transfers and learning Wordpress (which I now love), I’m happy to announce that this blog is now back and active. I still prefer a simple format, but also like the new sidebar features (like Twitter) that I previously didn’t have access to.

Hopefully this will allow for a more active blogging presence, while at the same time end questions from relatives such as “Hey what happened to the blog?” and “Why haven’t you updated the blog?”

Now that you’ve wasted two minutes reading this post, why not waste five more and watch “Head Swap?”

…aaaaaaand we’re back!

Finally switched domain servers, which means the blog is back. First I need to make some tweeks as I figure this thing called Wordpress, then we’ll be back and bloggier than ever. Thanks for your patience.

Mid-summer update

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Hey, two blogs in one season! Not too shabby, eh?

Brief update and only a few photos. Mom and her grand-daughter (a.k.a. our niece / flower girl Abygail) drove nine hours to visit last weekend. Despite my having a cold (naturally passing it onto them to take home), a good time was had by all. Tax-free shopping, trips to the Oregon Zoo and Tillamook Cheese Factory, plus an amazing local play in Astoria that reminded me of Waiting For Guffman…all of these made for a good time.

Upcoming events: Oregon Brewers Festival in late July; Tracy’s 10-year high school reunion; softball weekend in Vernonia; a visit from a long time east coast DeMolay pal; and the long-overdue anniversary vacation CRUISE TO ALASKA!!

Yet another new sleep setting for these two. Always full of surprises.

Danzig and his cousin Abygail.

Danzig re-discovers a passage he hasn’t used since he was just a puppy. He doesn’t fit inside the coffee table cubby hole as easily these days.
