2 months in a few bullet points

February 14th, 2010

Just realized that with 2 months of blog downtime a few happenings kinda went under the radar for our league(s) of devoted readers. So here’s what happened from 12/7/09 through today in a very brief bullet-pointed recap.

NOTE: I’m only posting this because Tracy has the remote in her hand while watching The Holiday on TBS, and I’m bored as a result. Part (OK…all) of my Valentines Day gift to her.

  • Microsoft missed my Xbox response deadline, so I traded everything in and paid about $50 for a new PS3. WIN!
  • Tracy’s office had their annual holiday party and boys were not allowed for the first time. Yet I still ended up driving 50% of the company home that night. FAIL!
  • Spent Xmas in Susanville. Managed to see zero friends while in town. WIN! & FAIL!
  • Returned home with $800 of cheap Nevada-issued alcohol to be distributed amongst the people. WIN!
  • Spent New Years (a.k.a. Christmas #2) in Astoria with the other set of parents. WIN!
  • Watched 1st half of the Rose Bowl and quickly figured out the Ducks would lose it (and how!). FAIL!
  • Fell in love with Big-Ass Sandwiches, a new downtown PDX food cart, and became good pals with the owners. WIN!
  • Celebrated our 1-year anniversary of Danzig’s adoption by spoiling him no more than we already do. WIN!
  • Traveled to Seattle for a long-overdue visit with friends as well as a very fun baby shower that involved poker and Trapped In The Closet.
  • Took Tracy’s Mom to a birthday dinner one week early at Mother’s Bistro. WIN!
  • Got the blog back up-and-running. WIN!
  • Finished this list of bullet points. WIN!

Up on the horizon, trade show travel for both of us (Andrew to Palm Springs, Tracy to San Francisco), a “forced-vacation” trip to Susanville for Andrew & Danzig, and the return of the Oregon brewing festival circuit.!

The blog is back (part 2)

February 14th, 2010

After a difficult bout with domain transfers and learning Wordpress (which I now love), I’m happy to announce that this blog is now back and active. I still prefer a simple format, but also like the new sidebar features (like Twitter) that I previously didn’t have access to.

Hopefully this will allow for a more active blogging presence, while at the same time end questions from relatives such as “Hey what happened to the blog?” and “Why haven’t you updated the blog?”

Now that you’ve wasted two minutes reading this post, why not waste five more and watch “Head Swap?”

…aaaaaaand we’re back!

Finally switched domain servers, which means the blog is back. First I need to make some tweeks as I figure this thing called Wordpress, then we’ll be back and bloggier than ever. Thanks for your patience.
